Taylor Baker is the Indigenous Community Coordinator for Biodiversity Pathways and the Wildlife Science Centre. She is Indigenous with both Coast Salish and Gitxsan ancestry and is a Member of Tsawwassen First Nation. Taylor has a BA in Politics from Acadia University. Her work experience includes being a Policy Analyst, Economic Development Community Outreach Manager, and being an elected Executive Councillor for her Nation. She also worked on the Speaker’s Indigenous Reconciliation Advisory Committee that assisted in the development of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia’s Reconciliation Action Plan.
Taylor’s current work with the WSC is providing support coordinating and liaising with First Nations, Inuit, and Métis communities for the purpose of building collaborative biodiversity monitoring initiatives.
