Ryan Gill is currently conducting research through the University of British Columbia – Okanagan examining the effects of human recreation on the movement ecology and habitat use of southern mountain caribou. His experience primarily comes from the private sector where he has worked closely with industry and First Nations, to provide input on managing species at risk and habitat to mitigate impacts to wildlife from resource development. He is involved in all aspects of research in the Columbia mountains ecosystem, but is specifically interested in human disturbance and its effects on the spatial ecology of wildlife.
